I beg to disagree. 'Cossack' is a very distinct term and they are noticeably different genetically than Russians.

All ethnic groups, especially those occupying such large territories, have internal variability. Returning to the topic I voted for "Ukrainian" because there was too much consensus on Greeks 100% of Ukrainian types occur among Romanians too, but on very different proportions. Many Greeks are simply unpassable (way too Middle Eastern / Anatolian looking)

Moldavians are Romanians. Moldova as a state was formed by Romanians migrating from Maramures. Ignore Aspirin, he's a Russian-boot-licker.

Moldavia submitted to Bucharest because of the Russian threat, like Croatia submitted to Belgrade because of the Italian threat. Face it, without it and those 200 years of propaganda we would be a different state, but now it's far too late as most Moldavians lost their sense of identity, unlike stronger willed Croats. It's easier to brainwash a mostly rural province such as Moldavia than a central European rural/urban country such as Croatia, so maybe that's a reason.

I'm still a beginner with these so not until recently I used to think phenotype is directly tied to DNA. Well, I'm more northern than you but also look more woggish than you. What are your North Atlantic and Baltic? For me it's 22,6% NA and 32% Baltic. I'd guess you lean more to the Baltic side.

We are not East Slavic at all. There are some who are multi-cultural of course, just like there are mulatto French people, but most don't share anything with Slavs. So looking foreign for your country is definitely not nice. Though the guy doesn't look East Slavic.

Romanians from the southern regions of Wallachia are genetically and culturally balkan people so closer to Greeks, Romanians from the other regions similar to Ukrainians.

I haven't said we are East Slavic, but for me the Baltid look is preferable in the East Balkans, especially in women!

Baltic/East Slavic look is the most common in "Nordic" Romanians and Bulgarians, just how "Nordic" ex-Yugoslavs tend to look Czech or Polish. That's why the nordic proxy tends to be Belarus/Russia for Romania on oracles.

Why is definitely not nice? It's like saying being 190cm tall is not nice because the average is 175.

I'd say the northern end of Ukrainians is as foreign as the southern end of Greeks for us.
