In an hypothetical scenario were humanity dives into total anarchy skills matter little to nothing, what does matter is if you are capable of having a cold heart combined with firearms and ammunition as Petalpusher implied. I don't own any firearms so the best I can do is to hope that such scenario will not happen otherwise I will be fucked.

Humans have an enormous capability to adapt to any contingency, especially when we are talking about survival, our primal nature would kick in. If that scenario would come upon us, many would still find ways to thrive.

You can be sure that in an apocalyptic scenario there will not be much kindness and unity (which is scarce even now) among humans. We even had a brief glimpse recently with the start of the pandemic and the panic that was created, everybody was in droves buying all sorts of things like a herd (toilet paper comes to my mind). There were shortages of goods everywhere, basically every man for themselves.
