What a weird dialect lol! I understand almost nothing, maybe 20% at most. They have extremely strange accent, lack of "r" in pronounciation remind me of French/Germans than in some ways pronounciation remind me of Scandinavians/they sound like drunken Vikings. In short sound like archaic Slovenian with Germanic pronounciation.

I wonder does Alenka understand all of it.

It's so called Windisch (politically laden term) more or less a mix of Carinthian German ("r" dont really exist) and Slovenian. I think one would neet to know German and Slovenian to understand everything. As a Croat speaker you have little chance understanding it.

As a speaker of Ljubljana dialect, I could understand most, except for a few words here and there. They sound similar to the speakers of the Koroška dialect you'd hear in Slovenia, but with the added German influence of R pronounciation. Based on this, immediately upon hearing them I could tell they are from beyond the Austrian border. I wonder if they mostly speak German in their daily life.

Koroško narečje with preserved R in Slovenia:

    Hvala Alenka, to je superfajn

Nina uses quite a few German words as well. Btw. in Carinthia we also use the term Strangalan (strankli) whereas the rest of Austria says Fisolen and the Germans call them grüne Bohnen.
Rudi mainly speaks German, one does hear that clearly, he often just adds a Slov., ending to a Germ. word and Marijan has to fill it in for him.
