Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom which I'm enjoying but not as much as others seem to be.

    Oh well.

One of my favorites as well. It was the first game I played that gave me nightmares. Resident Evil is always frolicsome fun, but Silent Hill and its first few sequels don't go away when the game is turned off.

Physical copies of the old Silent Hill games usually have pretty high value and are pretty costly to get. So it's understandable.

EDIT: And, emulators can improve the graphics on old PS1 and PS2 games. Now, one might argue that's not how the makers intended the game to be played, but let's face it, PS1 especially in terms of graphics has aged like milk.

Bouncer Redux 2016 edition . A single player game where you are to pacify individuals & keep things cool in the house by your foresight , analytic & diplomatic skills . Each failure means one bar less towards a game over stroke unless you mend things & bar heals . And yeah , there is no option to quit !

    I mentioned earlier I like solo ttrp'ing.

Lately, I've been playing Skid Row. It's made for multiple players but I just play all the characters. Setting is Skid Row, Los Angeles. You play someone who lives on skid row.

There is a related game made by the same company where you can play someone who spends a lot of time on Skid Row but doesn't live there - your character has a home (but it's a room in a flophouse, or a bed in a rehab which allows clients to leave the premises, or something like that).

Everywhere across whatever sorrows of which our life is woven, some radiant joy will gaily flash past.

I was born in 1980 for reference.

"aged like milk"... I have a weird-ass "nostalgia goggles" thing going on with older games. This isn't limited to graphics.
If I played them when they first came out, I don't have a problem. However, I don't have as much patience with older games that are new to me. My method of choice to play is my first generation PS3 which is backwards compatible with PS2 games as well as PS1s.

TBH, I remember thinking that PS1 graphics were never good in the first place. I would only overlook it because there was no other option at the time. My neighbour who had the N64 used to argue that it had much better graphics than my PlayStation which 'looked like tree characters' because the N64 was 64-bit and the PlayStation was 32-bit. Although some now say the N64 aged even worse than the PS1.

^^ Mike is right in that the transition from 2D to 3D was hardly smooth. That is why NES, Sega Genesis (Mega Drive) and SNES games aged better than PS1/N64.

I was gaming through the transition from 2D to 3D. In retrospect, the awkward growing pains were there, but I didn't know any better. RE 7 was the first Resident Evil a friend played and he wanted to play more of them. Naturally, I recommended RE4. He didn't get far and complained the player couldn't run and shoot and the same time. I thought that was the goofiest reason for not playing it. I was forgetting his experience in gaming was different than mine. RE4 got rid of both tank controls and limited saves. Shooting while running was never on my radar. This came up recently with the remake which he loved. I ended up traversing the original right after finishing the remake. The remake is glossy, fun, and everything it should be. But for me, it wasn't the iconic experience as was the original.

Okay, So I have been playing the new Zelda game for a month. I have 35 hours clocked and I am enjoying it. I feel like I haven't scratched the surface. My stupid ass MO is to complete a game without peeking at videos or other cheats. Once finished, I then dive into the videos and gamefaqs head first and see what I missed and either finish things up or even replay the whole thing from scratch. I may be playing this thing until the next one comes out.
