Default Why is blondism so pronounced in the Baltic States?

Baltic States are pretty blonde nations, especially Estonia and Latvia which are comparable Scandinavian nations and Iceland.

Eastern Hunter-Gatherers (EHG) were the first of European natives to develop blondism, then they passed it to Scandinavian SHG. WHG probably remained dark haired till the very end. Its still not clear how they got it. A guy like Rethel will tell you they got it from Indo-European admixture but those are his theories. It might have happened naturally.

Interesting thing is that Baltics who have the most Hunter-Gatherer and least Neolithic admixture still retain their ancestral ability to tan very dark, despite being much more light featured than NW Europeans, who can't tan at all.

I don't know, but I suspect that the European variants for blond hair appeared there with the EHG, but it may also have appeared in the northeast Neolithic.

    Progress...

In the case of EHGeans and IEs it is the same, so no admix of the 2nd in the 1st.

    North-East neolithic people weren't EHGeans?

Lack of EEF may be the simplest answer for higher blondism. They adapted neolithic farming techniques causing depigmentation and they didn't get so much of EEF.

And blonde Balts, Nordics getting tan, when Brits, Irish burn is explained by a gene enabling tanning. I don't know which ancient components had, which didn't have that. But, ability to get a glowing tan is good.

No, PIE is more exclusive- EHG were part PIE, but not all EHG were PIE.

How can Mesolithic Hunter-Gatherers be part Indo-European when Proto-Indo-European language can't be older than 4500BC?

Why not? Balts are among ethnic groups with the lowest Neolithic and highest North-East Upper Paleolithic admixture.
