    Virginia is definitely South imo

I've seen Texan and Louisiana people, they have the same country culture

The majority of Texas relates to the South culturally, religiously and politically more so than we do with our Western neighbors.

Lotsa Cajuns moved to Texas for the oil jobs, especially to Port Arthur, which they pronounce po-rahr-t(s)uhr.

East Texas is Southern, though . Many Texans don't consider Virginia the South either. I don't know why this is said often, but probably a state competition thing.

It depends on the section of the state. Northeastern Virginia is *much* different than Southwestern Virginia, and it's like they're separate states. It's a bit like comparing Washington and West Virginia. The region(s), between those extremes, might be the true Southern part of the state.

Northern Virginia used to be pretty much like the rest of Tidewater VA. As the DC swamp got bigger it drifted further away.

It's a blue island in a purple sea. Southwestern Virginia should join West Virginia. It's a red section, and it's not represented by Richmond and Wortham. That's especially true with 2A rights.
