Mostly because female vocals get praised for their "hight notes". But is that really a better thing? They can't reach those low notes that only male vocalists can. Also, some men can hit almost as high notes as women do, without all the screechy sound. I think our society is actually sexist against male singers. It's funny how that works isn't it? A very mediocre girl singer can just put on a dress and be sexy and get all these accolades for her voice- usually singing some song written by a man. But many great male singers never get credit for their singing- only they do their guitar work or songwriting or something that isn't singing. I guess it's a fear of complimenting a man for having a great voice
But angelic voices are not female because first of all there are no female angels. Angels are male. And if you here all female choirs, it always sounds like a big sound is missing. But when you hear all male choirs, boys can fill in the soprano parts and it sounds incredible.
