Default Poles: do you find Romance or Germanic languages easier to learn/understand?

Despite being a Slavic language, Polish does seem to have a lot of words from French and Latin - probably due to its Catholic heritage, such as its words for motorway, beach, holiday, break, term, problem etc. On the other hand, its phonology is definitely more similar to German and Dutch than to most Romance languages except maybe Romanian (itself heavily Slavic-influenced, of course). So, do you find Romance or Germanic languages easier to learn/understand?

I'm probably biased because I've never learnt any Romance language.
I've learnt both English and German at school though and my impression is that English has many similar words to what we have in Polish.
And apparently these words have often Latin or French origin.

Having said that I don't think any group is closer. I would say both in equal measure.

I think Romance minus Spanish, even the Germans use word FENSTER, Romanians fereastră, Italians finestra, but in the moorish language - ventana

Ventana comes from Latin ventus (wind). Formerly it was used fenestra and finistra, from Latin and Greek.
But cool try, ugly Russian looking Ulev
