Typical White American phenotype

What do you guys have in mind as the typical White American phenotype?

This is what I have in mind for the typical WASP American woman and man. A robust CM phenotype of mixed British Isles origin which the majority of White Americans are.

Lol, don't even go here.. You would have NO idea that she was "partly Jewish" if you wouldn't have looked it up or heard it from someone. Her "partly Jewish" doesn't show up anyway in her appearance. You also need to remember that there is a difference between having actual BLOOD Jewish ancestry and having ancestors who converted to Judaism.. I don't know which is her case.. But people seem to fail to realize that converting to the Jewish religion doesn't automatically insert Jewish DNA into your body.. If this were the case, technically speaking, all Christians, Catholics, etc would have Jewish ancestry..

Typical white American would be primarily a German, English and Scots-Irish mix.

Irish, Slavic and Italian mixed in to a lesser degree.

The American rock band Kings of leon are pretty typical looking for white Americans.

Well, you asked two completely different questions . You have to remember that in America the term "white" is used pretty freely.. That being said, there is a complete difference between the stereotypical WASP and the stereotypical "white" American.. Remember, in America even Arabs are technically considered "white"..

WASP is the abbreviation for white Anglo Saxon Protestant. People of so to say WASP ancestry technically only have Northern European ancestry. As most people know times Northern Europeans are stereotyped as being light complected, light haired, light eyed etc, and while this is of course not the case with all of them, Northern Europeans do tend to be 'lighter'. As I said before the term "white" in America is used very loosely, a "white American" could be an Arab American, this being said a WASP is more of a specific thing..

But yes as to your question, the examples that you gave above would be good examples for the stereotypical WASP, but not the stereotypical American, lol. WASP's are stereotyped as having light eyes, light hair, etc and as we all know people with light traits such as these aren't the traits of the average American..

Most people think 'American' means a white/WASP type, not a nonwhite or ethnic.

It does vary by region, southerners are more celtic looking, midwesterners more Germanic, northeasterners you have some old 'yankee' English looking types and assorted other ethnic types such as Italian and Irish
