Most Jews have a distinct look, easily distinguishable from gentile Italians.

I disagree. Some Sicilians and Maltese people in particular can be mistaken for Jews.

I disagree. The only time one from Sicily or Malta would be taken for a Jew is by one entirely ignorant of anthropological taxonomy and classification.

Considering their genetics (especially the Maltese), I would not consider it too far fetched to confuse European Jews with The Maltese.

Maltese people are genetically the same as Sicilians and Calabrese.. anything different would be increased North African, not Levantine, ancestry.

And truth be told, I have seen southern Italians who I thought looked stereotypically Jewish.

Frankly, I have seen many regions full of slobs in the UK for whom these people could be their posters.

I would be interested to see them. Where are these stereotypical Jewish looking people you have seen from Southern Italy? Please post examples.

You can't see obese people in every corner of each roads in Britain or in Europe, in North America on the contrary has become very natural, it's more unusual to meet thin people than overweight ones.

Since this door is open, and we are going to talk about the history of Jews in Euorpe? Why does it appear that Spain or moreover Portugal appear to be constantly left out? The UK is a much smaller country, but trust me I've seen plenty of slobs along the English countryside, and a few vuglar ones to boot.
