Yes it made up largely to sell stuff. The term Millennial first appeared in 1982 and it was in a book or something. Growing up I never knew what my generation was or even cared. Maybe it makes sense that I'm a late Gen X or Xennial or whatever they call it. But Im an individualist.

That's the bottom line. You can't make sweeping judgments about millions of people. It's not fair or honest. Collectivist thinking rarely is.

The problem is that the oldest members have little to nothing in common with the youngest members. You share a generation with people close to your age, and labels don't change that fact.
