Unfortunately taxation is necessary. If people won't pay for roads, various services etc who is gonna pay?

Even in the most extreme socialist commy government that could possibly be where we don't pay taxes we are still gonna pay them through increased labour time or whatever.

30% of total workforce on average has a govt job. Take taxes away and 30% of your compatriots will find themselves on unemployment benefits which the govt won't be able to pay.

Taxes are necessary but interest on loans is the real theft. Should pay a monthly fee and that's it - its interest on loans that got Jews expelled by Napoleon.

Taxation is the price you pay to live in a civilised society and access essential services, it's basically a subscription model to infrastructure and services.

Originally, the only tax was property tax, and the only people who could vote were land owners. So yes, you paid tax, but you also got to decide how much you paid, and what the money was used for. It was a consensual pooling of resources, to fund projects desired by the people funding it.

This way the tax payer had direct control over how much tax they paid, and what it was used for. If you didn't pay tax, you didn't vote. No taxation without representation, but no representation without taxation.

This meant that homeless, women, and inbred welfare spongers didn't get to vote. Well, they could vote, all they had to do was buy land. This meant taxes were much lower, because the people in charge of taxes were the ones paying it.

Once they started letting women and welfare spongers vote, it all went out the window. They would endlessly vote for more taxes, because the things taxes paid for were of benefit to them, but they weren't the ones paying it, and they outnumbered the tax payers so they could vote for whatever they wanted out of the other man's wallet.

The problem with women's sufferage and 'a vote for every citizen' is that not all citizens pay taxes. Many receive more in tax benefits than they pay in taxes, many don't pay any gross taxes at all, and so now people who are not paying taxes are deciding what is done with the taxes, so they expand taxes as much as possible (since it doesn't effect them because they're not paying it) and they choose all those taxes to be used to benefit them.

The moment that happened, it became theft, as the one who is paying is no longer in control of how much he pays and what it is used for.

Why isn't there a sub for threads related to personal finances/money?

Because nobody responds or cares about those threads or pays any attention to it.

Taxes on any kind of consumer goods are theft, that's were I would absolutely agree.
