    Default Introduction to taxonomy

Can you advice books for beginners who introduce to human taxonomy, who don't need university study on the matter to understand. Thanks in advance.

The only university course I can imagine dealing with that would be something like 'history of pseudoscience', but if you insist, Coon's work is by far the best. Plenty of his predictions have actually been later confirmed (to a degree at least) which isn't something you can say about any other similar author. Now I don't care about this stuff at all, but his book is the reason I've originally joined this forum.

http://ua.unige.ch/fr/ there is a section consacred on human genetic, phenotype and evolution. Why do you call it pseudo science?

I don't speak French. Post me some old-fashioned taxonomy article/book archive, since that's what you're seemingly asking about. If not, the word 'taxonomy' is understood differently in here. Of course genetics and evolutionary biology are a whole another matter. If that's what you actually meant, I'm no expert in there. You can ask gixajo or Stearsolina, they seem to know a lot about that stuff.
