Kurds, because they are indo-iranic and originally aryan. Albanians are paleo balkanites and have nothing to do with aryans (iranics).

Albanian is an Indo-European language as well, plus they seem to score more Yamnaya-like (though part of that percentage may just be Caucasus DNA gotten through another route, south of the Black Sea, who knows...):

1- Problem with using Yamnaya as Steppe proxy is they have about 50% admixture from a non-steppe source
2- Sources from both targets (kurds and albanians) should be genetically equidistant from them otherwise results will be biased. For example, if you were to use EHG and Iranians to model Kurds, their EHG would get very low because Iranians would eat up 95% of their admixture, whereas if you used Romanians and EHG to model Albanians their EHG would be higher because Romanians would not eat up as much Albanian admixture.
My point is the non-steppe sources for Kurds should be as far away from kurds as the non-steppe sources used for Albanians are far away from Albanians.
