You see these a lot in the summer in Spain, the first is very common pretty much anywhere in houses and whatnot, the second is found mainly around coastal areas.

They seem to be a different species than the ones that I posted.
But its interesting that even Spain also have them. Looks like Southern European/Med countries also have these geckos.
Anyway I hate having them inside my house. They might eat insect but they look ugly and sometimes they will eat food on the table if left unattended.

I remember last year during a summer night I tried to kill one of them in my kitchen, but he ran away quite fast, I couldn't find it anymore, when I woke up the gecko I tried to kill was looking at me directly from my bed, then he ran away. My bedroom was far from the kitchen lol
I would assume so, because I don't see them that much from around November to March. I've had both of those (the second makes a weird, high pitched noise every once in a while) in my house at times since I live by the coast. Man, salamanquesas are harmless, and only stay if they have sufficient insects to feast upon - they are literally protecting you from disease carrying insects. So, if you keep the house insect free and clean, they will leave you alone.
