Yes we have lizards in southern Canada near Lake Erie. When I was a kid I trapped them in jars.

Five-lined skinks in the Great Lakes–St. Lawrence population are typically found in forest openings, specifically large rock outcrops. Along the Lake Erie shoreline, where the Carolinian population lives, skinks inhabit open forests, small meadows, beaches and stabilized sand dunes. Five-lined skinks hibernate in groups under rocks or tree stumps and in rotting wood.

Apparently Finland has two species of lizards. I had never heard of the other before, but it's called vaskitsa. But then when I searched for it on Google Images, it's just a god damn snake.

One was crawling on the wall next to the shower. Had to call one of the servants to remove it. I know they aren't dangerous, but I don't like looking at them. One of the hosts in the program had a small lizard in his apartment. He screamed, threw a tennis ball at it, and it's tail fall off.

I live in an Asian country and you can found them almost everywhere even inside houses.

Sí, hijo, sí; we call them salamanquesas, not like the female inhabitats of the province and city of Salamanca, who are called salmantinas.

They enter in houses, they must hate the heat, and look for the shade, in the quest of little insects and so.

They're small and peaceful, they don't bother generally, only to the sight, since they're not considered as too beautiful, maybe because of their skin, so coarse.

Some of them, in this area in south Spain, are quite large and heavy; some specimens can reach easily 300 Kg, around 630 pounds, --the so-called salamanquesa aberroncho--, that emit strange loud sounds, and when they break in dwellings, they are like okupas --squatters-- of those houses or facilities. Only a combinated action of firemen, policemen and a jesuit priest are capable, but not always, of making them go out.
