I think 'cool' is subjective and I think anyone who cares about being 'cool' past highschool is immature at best and moronic at worse.

Their music is born in Amercia and not in Africa for a reason, African American music( rap,jazz etc..). were made with white instruments and traditional rhytmic dance and song of black peoples, it is more correct to call it only American in my opinion.They do nice things indeed.

Black entertainers were much better in the past. Just look at Michael Jackson and Prince, as well as many others, in the '80s and the '90s. Compare them to today's stars. We went from caviar to dung.
