Looking at this map, what is interesting is how although the rural/shire counties of Southern England are still mostly Tory, the urban areas in the South, which are often full of middle-class university staff and graduates, are much less so. In particular, Oxford and Cambridge as towns are pretty much lost causes for the Tories, and even the counties of Oxfordshire and Cambridgeshire no longer have a Tory majority. Conversely, the Tories have made inroads in very working-class towns like Harlow in Essex and Walsall in the West Midlands.

Only a Blairite style Labour party could make serious inroads in the South outsidey of certain studenty areas. Keir won't go that "right" and the knives are out for him now from the Left of Labour. If the Left take over again Labour will sink further into irrelevance.

Left and right parties in the west are both cut from the same cloth nowadays, neither are classical libs or cons. I assume it's the same in Britain, just an illusion for the plebs like Graham and Tooting and to divide and conquer. I don't trust them all all, at least the parties in Canada, all corrupt. I think Brexit would've happened either way with or without BoJo the globalist clown. The sole reason for Brexit is money laundering... London, the money laundering capital of the world.

I just want to add that I prefer people on the right because they just want to be left alone and are "normal" meanwhile the ones on the left seem to have a chip on their shoulder.
