My dream is to open a sanctuary/safe heaven farm for pigs one day, if I will be in financial possibility. Place where they can live in peace until end of their life.
Pigs are one of most intelligent and emotional animals and one of most brutally treated animals too.

Really hope one day I arcehive my dream. Such sanctuaries for all types of animals exist in the west already.

Why should I care about animal lives?

How can I tell you that? If you watch footage from slaughterhuses/factory farms and it doesn't bother you, than there is nothing anyone can do to to influence your opinion.

Always making decisions based on empathy and feelings is weakness imo. Being high empathy isn't always good.

Because I assume you care about humans, and humans are also animals, the only thing making us unique is our consciousness.

These animals our ancestors killed for food lived free life in the nature, were not breed for slaughter and lived miserable life until miserable end!
Progress isn't always negative.

I agree with many other people here who neither support nor oppose. I like meat and diary but I don't oppose the ones who are vegan

I don’t think that they meant animals should be treated like humans, but they should be treated like living beeings. Needless or malicious torments against animals aren’t justifying. I love meat, never could live without my kebab, also I think animal experiments are essential for science(since it does not mean automatically torturing). No one needs to be vegetarian or whatever to esteem animals or care for their condition.
