Default Do Brazilians consider themselves as Latinos as well?

As you all know, all inhabitants southwards Rio Grande were rebaptised in the XIX century as Latinos, that has reached the majority acceptance by them.

But I wonder if Brazilians have also accepted that new vocative to name and refer to themselves?

    Just out of curiosity.

Latino is OK to me. But I'm not sure about Gisele Bündchen and other German descents.
    Spoiler!

Its probable they would understand you calling latino and most would accept, but Im not sure if they think about themselves as latino. Brazil is a very large society and normally people dont need to identify with foreigner labels.

As well as Mandalorian, Latino isn't a race. It's a creed.

Yes. But some in fact do not consider themselves Latinos because Latino for a long time was something associated with "Hispanic" and we do not speak Spanish, so many Brazilians still do not consider themselves Latinos.

In our daily lives, we usually don't identify as Latinos, but we are part of Latin America, just no the stereotypical Hispanic Latino.

Culturally speaking, we share a similar vibe and lifestyle to our Hispanic neighbors (some more than others), but since Brazil is a continental scale country, with most of the population still living in the Atlantic coast (despite the Marcha para o Oeste, created by Getúlio Vargas, had increased the Brazilian pop in island Brazil, most of us still live in the coast)...

... we still live in a bubble from our Hermanos, yes, some of their cultural contents reach us, but it's a small minority, everything non-Brazilian/American/British tends to be a niche of interest in Brazil.

I do not think the inhabitants of South America are precused with this classification (Anglos, Germanic and Latinos).
Overall they are South Americans, each with their nationality

Pan-euro is the best classification. Culturally part German or Slavic and speak Portuguese with cultural influence of Gauchos Spanish.
