Wieś powstała na początku XIX wieku. W 1827 roku w Napoleonie stał tylko jeden dom, a wieś liczyła 5 mieszkańców[4]. Do połowy XIX wieku po południowej stronie drogi zbudowano następne. Legendy wiążą powstanie i nazwę wsi z okresem Księstwa Warszawskiego i pobytem w tej okolicy Napoleona I. // The village was founded at the beginning of the 19th century. In 1827, there was only one house in Napoleon and the village had 5 inhabitants [4]. By the mid-19th century, more had been built on the south side of the road.
