The Mestizo Phenotype Spectrum: Castizos

Hey guys!.

So I am making a couple of threads about the Mestizo Spectrum, From Castizo all the way up to Indo-Mestizo, starting off with the Castizo Phenotype. I will show some examples and give a brief description of this phenotype/mix, so people who arent familiar with them, or are interested in this, can learn about them . Anyone who wants to post and give examples themselves are free to, this is mainly a community post, so feel free.

Ill be posting examples of (mainly) celebs and social media personalities famous both in the United States and in Latin America that show the Castizo phenotype, now I would like to disclaim that these people are not necessarily castizos genetically, but ended up expressing a Castizo appearance, these people could vary from anything genotype wise, but their phenotype is what a Castizo would typically express, again this is to merely show the average castizo appearance, and not atypical expressions or examples.

Castizos:

Castizo is a mixed person of 1/4 Indigenous, 3/4 European ancestry (Tipically Iberian ancestry)

The original castizos were the children of a Spanish parent and a mestizo parent, today they usually are people who have around 70-80% european blood, the textbook castizo is around 75% euro and 25% native american.

Castizos usually look predominantly Iberian-European with either minor, faint, or some influences in some features, either in the eyes, nose, face shape, mouth, skin, or cheekbones, or all at the same time. Is not rare for a portion of castizos to be white passing, while another portion can end up looking a little "exotic" for a lack of a better word. I would believe that around 55-60% of castizos would be able to pass in Europe, while the other half can look usually Turkish, Jewish, or from the Levant, and sometimes they can pass in all of these mentioned areas combined, (I am not sure about North Africa, I would need North Africans opinions, so Ill leave that out for the moment).

Famous celebrities that look Castizo are Camila Cabello, Evaluna Montaner, Fabi Rosales, Gael Garcia Bernal, Diego Luna, Angry Joe, Selena Gomez's Mother, and many more on this thread .

Castizo can be considered the mestizo equivalent of a Quadroon in the mulatto spectrum
