As a side note, for those visitors who aren't Latin American and are not quite familiarized with Latin American looks: castizos are a great part of the general population of North/Northwest Mexico, Costa Rican highlands, great part of the Colombian/Venezuelan Andes, many interior parts of Argentina and in countries like Paraguay and Chile. They can also be found in other parts of Latin America, but are found with greater frequency in those places mentioned.

Their is more castizas{os} in West-Central Mexico than Northern Mexico.


Here are some example just from Los Altos de Jalsico but you find them way more in Guadalajara and other parts of west-central Mexico.

I agree. I should have mentioned Jalisco (in Western Mexico) too.

By the way: what about the state of Michoacan? How similar it is to Jalisco? Are there many Euro mestizos in there as well, or less than in Jalisco?

Michoacan has less,but you can also find them in Zacatecas,and Guanajuato.

Had to cut out some that were obviously white. I know for a fact that most of these folks I posted are castizos. Know many in such circles.
