The Word "Exotic" -- your thoughts about it?

You`re not exotic, you look average south southern European to me. In fact I know south Europeans who are darker skinned as you.

i agree, for a man to be called it (especially by another man) it's just a way for them to insult you in a less direct way. It's like calling me a foreign, someone less than themselves, or like a tropical fruit.

Just a question, if calling you exotic is an insult why did you make tons of "Am i dark" thread about it? You starting to sound like Morti who is also obsessed with his looking. You are darker than average just accept your skin, and who cares what do others think about it.

i never made an "Am I dark thread", I've made "I am dark thread." And I never used the term exotic for myself outside of TA, people called me exotic on here since forever so no one should be surprised. Simple as that.

I always thought exotic was like different and rare.

I’ve only been called exotic here online. I don’t feel a type a way about it because I’m secure about the race I am.

so as you are someone that uses this term... what context do you use it for?

When I say exotic, I use the term for someone who looks atypical for a place or region. There seems to be a negative context or connotation about this word, I'm not sure why that is though.
