I'm 5'9.5" weighting 165 lbs, 20 years ago when serving in the army I had ony 145 lbs. Running felt easier then and cold weather wasn't a problem at all since we ran around in the snow all day long and got used to the temperatures. The biggest difference is that I became more "aware" of my belly, f.e. when putting my shoes on. With me weighting 145 lbs there just was no protruding belly, now there is , slightly but still.

I'm only an inch taller than you , and at 165 lbs I would be emaciated. It's interesting what a different bone structure/muscle ratio can do.

Imagine going on a 15 mile bike ride, but you're carrying 100lbs on your back.

Now go on it with 0lbs on your back.

    That's the difference.

No man should be lower than 12% body fat, is not functional. In my opinion the best body fat percentage is between 12-15%.

LOL. I don't carry all my weight on my back. I am fat all over. It's evenly distributed so I probably don't have the issues you're talking about. At my job I'm up and down ladders, bringing in buggies, loading rugs and tarps, and lifting boxes.

Based on that graph it's a little hard to tell , but I'm somewhere between 25-30% BF.

The rule of thumb says body height in cm - 100. Thats about what I got, but my ideal weight rather wouls be linke 70 / 72 kg.
Even with your bone structure in mind you ideally shouldn't be heavier than maybe 85kg / 190 lbs.

It's an example bro. Fine, a 100lbs fatsuit. The point is, if you're 50lbs overweight, everything you do, you're carrying around 50lbs - and yes you do have the issues described. Just because you can still climb a ladder or stairs (??? you'd have to be VERY fat not to) doesn't mean it's not much more difficult for you than for me - which it is.

If you were 25% bodyfat you'd be around 73lbs of fat, approximately 15lbs of skeleton, 20lbs of water, food, blood and whatever else and over 200lbs of muscle, which is verging on impossible. You are probably considerably in excess of 40%.

    Impaler is coping, anyhow.
