Depends what you are after.

Bristol and York for cities in England are nice places, excellent to walk around. Lyme Regis is one my favourite places in the UK for Coastal villages but there are others just as good around Dorset, Devon and Cornwall.

Lake District is more like Scotland. Scenic, hilly and wet.

Lots of places. Cities, would recommend Bath, York, Bristol, Canterbury. For nature, Lake District, Cornwall/Devon coast are nice, as is the Welsh coast. Here's the links to some national parks and sites of interest.

Scotland has some nice driving roads but is pretty boring beyond that.

The Yorkshire Dales, North Pennines and Lake District could be one big national park because of how close they are.

The Eden District where my Grandad's from has all three with the lowest population density of any district in England and Wales!
