Red face Are the Romanians more Anatolian than the Turks?

PuntDNAL K12 tells me I'm 33.66% Anatolian. How is it possible to get more Anatolian than the Turks from Turkey (28.50%)?
    I am Romanian.

you need to see how much do other Romanians score on that to be able to see whether there's something unusual with your scores or not.

here's my result on PuntDNAL K12 Ancient (on GedMATCH), to compare to, as I am Romanian as well:

    Sub-Saharan -
    Amerindian 0.1 Pct
    South_Asian 2.37 Pct
    Near_East 1.42 Pct
    Siberian 1.97 Pct
    European_HG 36.58 Pct
    Caucasus_HG 24.57 Pct
    South_African_HG -
    Anatolian_NF 32.03 Pct
    East_Asian -
    Oceanian -
    Beringian 0.95 Pct

do you score any South Asian as well? we Romanians often score, as most of us have some more recent or more distant Gypsy ancestry.

compared to me you seem to have an excess of Near East and considerably lower HG but normal/average Anatolian and Caucasus scores.

That's because it's ancient anatolians. Most Europeans will be more 6000BC Anatolian farmers than present day Turks, even North Europeans. Until the point some groups get too much affinity towards East Eurasian or even ANE, which is very detrimental for LBK/Stuttgart/EN relationship as it's the opposite, being the peak west Eurasian. In the same way very southern populations like S.Italy or even Greece aren't as LBK as it would be expected, because they have more input from different type of farmers (or more recent signals).

I am not from a city, no urban ancestry. South Asian is probably not right on this run for me, it's not picked up usually. it depends on how mixed the source was or wasn't, since most South Asian pops have some non-ASI ancestry (Caucasus mostly but Steppe as well, which may in some cases steal some signal)

British have also some Neolithic Anatolian admixture so why not Romanians? I would be happy.
