The results of my ex-wife. That's probably why we broke up with her...there is no divisive Asia...

it's because you get a lot of Baltic hunter-gatherer, which we don't - you're 1/4 Baltic HG, I'm only 1/8 for example, according to this run, however you get total 36% Neolithic while I get 45%, so the results seem pretty much in line with geographic expectations in the end. also, Romania is just next to Ukraine, actually a lot of northeast Romanians are rather recently Romanianized Ruthenians (gradually more Balkan as you go South and less as you go North), which explains Yamnaya scores - Romania was the first place out of the Pontic steppe that Yamnaya expanded to (actually Eastern side of Romania is part of the Pontic -steppe and -steppe-forest region)

you are confusing similarity with real descent: the resulting mix is similar to ex-Yugoslavs in terms of Slavic/Balkan ratio, however the origin is different, as the Slavic in Moldovans is directly East Slavic, moreso than in other Romanians that came back from the Balkans with some assimilated Slavic DNA already.
also, I don't know how much you know about the region, but Ukrainian last names are abundant in Suceava, Botosani and Iasi counties among already Romanianized Moldovans, which points to recent Ruthenian origin, while checking census data from 1890-to-1910 a lot of villages that used to be fully Ruthenian at the census are now fully Romanian in the same counties. other than that, Suceava county also has a lot of villages still speaking Ukrainian, i.e. ethnically preserved to this day. but there was a long process of Ruthenian-Vlach mix in Moldova region, which is not yet completed (it will be completed after complete assimilation of remaining Ukrainian speakers and with the complete assimilation of Moldovan-speaking Moldovans into Romanian-speaking Romanians, i.e. the local Moldovan dialect is slowly dying out as well). then as you go south from Suceava-Botosani-Iasi the Slavic origin can only be guessed, as it's not showing up in surnames anymore, but only in place/river/brook names and it's more diluted, more mixed with Vlach or other stuff that then got Vlachized/Romanianized
