Puebla is considered southern Mexico? I always thought it would be considered central Mexico since it's next to Mexico df. If it came out nearly 70% amerindian then 60% amerindian for Mexico DF like a lot of studies have shown sounds about right.

puebla is central, but the southern mexican results in the USA for these DNA companies are not very representative because 90% of them come from small indigenous communities

60% amerindian for DF is more accurate for its lower class, once you add in the middle and upper class, the average should change

Something similar happens in Santo Domingo. The lower class and working class look mulatto but with a slight afro dominance (55%-57% SSA, 40% euro and the rest taino) while the middle-middle class isn't too far from the national average (though slightly higher when it comes to the european). The upper middle class must be at least like 75% euro with a minimun of 8% native and the rest SSA. The rich old families over 85% european.

normally these type of studies never include middle/upper class but lower classes, I wish there was one that divided the samples by class, that would give states/cities a better picture of what the average overall is
