    Neither. ANE predates modern Eurasians.

Nope, at this time in history Europeans and Asians werent as clearly seperated compared to nowadays. Keep in mind that both share the same ancestor.

    They aren't proto-Turk but a major element in ethno-genesis of proto-Turks.

According to this video, they appear to be 100% Altaic and today they are all in the Tatar area of northern Kazakhstan. Can it be true?

    ANE Mal'ta Boy

    Population
    W_Eurasian 69.83%
    E_Eurasian 30.17%
    SSA -

But it's old so it might have been one the most non East Asian, Eurasian of the time. Today, he would likely have some East Asian/Siberian vibe at least, like the people scoring similarly 70/30.

To put it into perspective, this is what modern Europeans and non Euros score on this test (not to determine country of ancestry precisely, just a simple low K placement between the 3 majors groups)

I'm sorry, but I don't quite understand. For a beginner like me, simpler and faster to understand does this mean that a 100% ANE person is 30% East Asian?

I just did ADMIXTURE runs of ancient Eurasian samples and a few American samples. The proportion of the East Eurasian component in MA1 was 33% at K=2 and 28% at K=3. However Sunghir, Kostenki, and GoyetQ116 also had about 20-27% of the East Eurasian component. And ElMiron (which is a few thousand years younger than MA1) had about 10% of the East Eurasian component.

Here the first column shows the percentage of the East Eurasian component at K=2 and the second column shows the percentage of the East Eurasian component at K=3:

30% "Eastern Eurasian" not specifically East Asian, so think about everything in the eastern half of Eurasia. That is also expected as ANE at his point and time would still have some affinities with East Eurasia, but still more with west Eurasian or what would become West Eurasians later. The test would have benefited to have an Ocenian at K4 to sort this Eastern Eurasia score better but still interesting little test, almost like a formal stat. The 4 major groups should be always there at least.
