Default Una Carta de un Mexicano a los Peruanos accomplejados del mundo

Peruvians have been deceived about their gastronomy, their gastronomy is not popular, nor awarded nor recognized. They proclaim themselves because they win a public voting contest on the Internet that has no prestige or any validity (World Travel Awards). In addition, the gastronomy of Peru has a lot of Asian influence, it is not authentic. Whether it tastes good or not is up to personal criteria.

Peruvians are jealous and envious since Mexican food was declared a World Heritage Site.

Peruvians are very self-conscious, mythomanic and envious people, everything that Mexico has they want to have:

-Mexico has a very outstanding gastronomy; Peruvians want / believe to have an outstanding gastronomy, and as they are surpassed by Mexico, they begin to discredit.
-We Mexicans are mestizos; Peruvians are quasi-indigenous who want / believe to be mestizo, and they say that Mexico is at the same level of their indigenousness.
-The Mexican culture is very influential; Peruvians want / believe to have an influential culture, and they tell lies to stand out, discrediting the influence of Mexico.

And a long etcetera where Peruvians are widely surpassed by Mexico, hence their envy and complex starting with their mythomania very characteristic of their psyche.

Peruvians want to be culturally and genetically Mexican. Everything that Mexico is and has, Peruvians want to be and have it. Peru is the shadow of Mexico.

Because they received asian immigrants. Their food also has Amerindian, Spanish, African, Italian and French influence. It's like saying Mexican food is not authentic because it has a lot of Spanish influence or US food ain't authentic because pizza/pasta are chinese/Italian.

    You people are unbecoming.

We Mexicans are mestizos; Peruvians are quasi-indigenous who want / believe to be mestizo, and they say that Mexico is at the same level of their indigenousness.

Mexican food is NOTHING like Spanish. The Spanish brought to America European and Asian products, but not unique from Spain.

All gastronomy of the world has been influenced by world products. But the combination that is made with them are representative of each country. In addition, Mexican food has a lot of weight and indigenous influence, a lot of identity with products from Mexico.

Mexico has given the world chocolate, tomato, corn, avocado, gum, tequila, chili, vanilla, among other products of great global influence.

Peruvian food has a lot of plagiarism from Asian food. Many dishes are direct copies of Asian food. This is the difference.
