Thought you believed the earth was 6000y old, so whom ever put it into Asians for fun?

More seriously, epicanthic fold is present in all fetuses, often newborns or people with congenital syndroms as the nasal bridge doesn't developp normally, retaining the original epicanthic fold (hence the derogatory term "mongol" for people with down syndrome). Asians just don't loose it at the early stage of their developpement as they have different bone structure around the nose with flatter nasal bridge and that could simply explain it. Khoisans have one of the highest frequency of epicanthic fold, and they are Africans.
