    I believe the reason you score some south Italian is because it probably misread your Levantine ancestry as south Italian. The opposite happened to me with 23andme, I got 14 percent Levantine even though I have no recent genetic connection to the Levant. LOTS of migrants from the Middle East migrated to Roman era Italy, especially to the South.

    My results were updated again today and almost all my southern Italian turned into northern, matching my paper trail.
