Each year on May 26, Georgians both at home and abroad celebrate the anniversary of the day the nation declared independence to establish the Democratic Republic of Georgia.

Georgia is one of the countries which as first took Christianity as their religion. Their history is rich, with fights against many powers Roman Empire, Persia, Byzantium, Ottomans, Russians. Their nature has a big variety: Black Sea coast, mountains, plain with rich soil, they even have a stone cave city of Vardzia btw. The people are proud and strong. This beautiful country in exactly 104 years ago declared independence for the first time in modern era to lose it soon to Soviets. It was not the end though, it's a beginning - a beginning of a true Caucasian pearl
