These same africans only knew their slave way of life imposed by their european masters (in that case french masters) living for generations under that same system and then became free after a revolt. Are you really expecting them to produce skilled politicians, traders, scientists, etc ?

Successful Civilizations appear and maintain themselves thanks to constant interactions/exchange of ideas/competition certainly not from a bunch of ex slaves left behind on a tiny caribbean island

To be fair the original settlers on Iceland completey ruined the ecosystem by chopping of every single forest on the island without doing as much as planting anything new. Todays icelandic population is a whole other thing though.

All groups of people are evolved and adapted to their various environments. They’ve all had various admixture events with various (now extinct) groups, which makes them who they are. This question makes no sense.
