I've had trouble at the border every time I've tried to enter Canada. I wouldn't even bother now, it's such a hassle, humiliating searches, even before 2001. I still have my certificate from when the barred me from entering, "I am of the opinion that allowing you to enter Canada would be contrary to the Immigration Regulations, 1978, to grant admission to, or otherwise let you come into Canada."

LOL my bf was barred too!! That's why we haven't been together yet ahahaha. Still to this day, I have no idea what he did there and I don't ask haha.

He's never been over in that area. He's always crossed the rainbow bridge from Niagara Falls. He's actually complimented on how clean Toronto is and how well they take care of the city. He just says the people aren't nice.. but then again he's a New Yorker and can be quite a bit of an ass himself haha.

I would absolutely love to visit Banff. I've heard nothing but wonderful things about it scenery wise and local wise. And as for the french part.. I would like to visit Quebec being that my ancestors immigrated there before Louisiana. I suppose the pretentious stereotype followed them even after they left France lol.

Trust me, the place is an absolute must to visit. Although I'd advice for you to go during the warmest months of summer, as otherwise the weather is as rainy, humid, cold and dark as it would be in the UK.

What I find interesting is that Cajuns are the complete opposite. They are very warm and welcoming. They are fun-loving "swamp people". It makes me wonder why there's such a cultural divide even though genetically they are almost the same lol. Is it really just environment?
