Funnily enough, in the first and last pictures, he kinda has a Milan Stankovic vibe, while in the 3rd and 4th, the Atlanto-Med vibe somehow becomes more prominent. Probably due to haircut?

To me he has somewhat of Serb vibe, but it's not that he doesn't look Croatian. Can be both IMO.
And I saw such faces in Hungary too, but I'd think he's a Serb looking Hungarian. Added Romanian just for an extra option.

He is from northwest of Croatia.

that strong browridge is not common in Romanians (found randomly).

then between the other countries I think he'd pass as any, if I were to remove one it'd be Hungary first. between Croat and Serb the differences must be less obvious to foreigners so I don't know, but his type seems at least at a first glance to pass as both, maybe better as Croat because of the more bony face.
