Similarly, Mexico City is extremely stratified and it's near impossible to describe the "average phenotype" of the city or to discuss how "native" it is. Mexico City has always been home to a very substantial group of upper class/elites who are almost entirely European in terms of their ancestry and they seem to practice endogamy, as evidenced by the images of anti-AMLO protests here. On the other hand, Mexico City has also always been home to people who are very indigenous in terms of both their culture and genetics. Unlike some typical Mexican city, there's less of a continuum, where the middle class has fairer skin and the lower class has darker skin, and more of a separation, which makes sense given the history of the city.
