Gary Lineker had a distinct Leicester accent as a young man, but it has softened considerably with age:

All over. Women (i.e. upper class and nobility) speak standard Greek whereas men (i.e. working class) stick to their dialect.

I've noticed some Welsh people just sound Southern English also, not sure if that is a class or regional thing though, maybe you could comment on that one.

An obvious one would be London also.
What American accents remind you of British Isles accents? There are times when Australians sound like Southerners to me. I listened to a YouTube live streamer from Oz for a short while. He initially sounded like Big Daddy ("Cat On A Hot Tin Roof") and Colonel Sanders.

I once thought that Midwest Americans were the only people in the world without accents. I thought that we were the default setting.

None especially, although Boston is supposed to be more 'refined' and Anglicised.

Santiago and Santo Domingo equally. Popis aren't friends of localisms, and see fast talking specially as low class.

So I've been told. Anyway, even the working-class characters here don't sound that coarse:

Maybe they were thinking about the "old money" New England type accents like this:

Anyway the average person in Boston just speaks with something close to General American English accent, if you want to hear the stereotypical rough accent you need to go to the working class suburbs into the depths of soulless Amerikan strip mall land...which I rarely dare to do, me da asco. I thought Murcia was bad but like every American city has its own Murcia, this country is unbecoming.
