While in most countries, regardless of how multiracial they are, regional accents and dialects are still usually the most important, it seems in the US that ethnolects are nowadays as or more important than regional accents and dialects. African-Americans and Hispanics from NYC and LA usually sound more alike than they do to Whites from their own cities - at least that's the impression I get. I'd like others' opinions about this?

Spanglish, as far as I have been able to tell. It is a miracle that a Creoñol hasn't arisen given the Haitian presence here, but it seems to me that they tend to keep mostly to themselves.

So Dominicans broadly sound the same regardless of how Euro or SSA they are?

As a general rule yes. If there are differences, these tend to be more of the regional variety than anything.

African Americans and Hispanics here do not sound alike. We share slang and some expressions but that's about. It depends on the borough too and even neighborhood. Nuyoricans and Dominican-york also have their distinct accent. It's hard to elaborate but a lot of Dominicans and Ricans have their distinct dialect. Like the way the talk...

You misunderstand. I meant African-Americans from NYC and LA generally sound more alike than to Whites from their own respective cities. Likewise, Hispanics from NYC and LA generally sound more alike than to Whites from their own respective cities.

The Latinos in LA aren't as diverse as the one here. In LA 8 out of 10 Hispanics is Mexican and the remaining are usually from Central America. In NYC 2.7 out of 10 are Dominican, 2.5 are Rican, 2 are Mexican, 1 is Colombian, 1 is Ecuadorian and the rest are from South American and Central America Afro-Hondurans and Afro-Panamanias making a big chunk). We have a lot of Peruvians, Guatemalans and Salvadorians. There is also a massive Brazilian community nut they are not considered Latino in the USA sense.
