Anglicanistic, or Germanistic etc.? Do you know that? It is interesting that Cristiano Viejo doesnt know what that is so Im wondering if it is common to not know that or it is rare to not know that. I knew that even in high school.

Anglicanistic sounds to religion to me, not just to language.
When people study English in Spain the subject is called just Inglés or Lengua inglesa.

Possible in serbian and german it is different. When you study a language you study also its history, origins etc. and grammer and all that, and you learn about that country or countries where they speak it, thats why it is called anglizismus. A anglizismus can also be a intrusion into the german language a foreign english term.

English history, origins etc in a deeper way only is studied in a career called Filología inglesa (English philology).

I think I know what you mean, here it is called anglicismos. It is words that we use and that came from English but it were españolizadas (Hispanized), for example gol, which come from English goal, or fútbol, from English football.

But these are just words, not a subject per se in school or university.
