Sandžakian Bosniaks are mix of Montenegrins and Gheg Albanians. On average they are closer to Bulgarians and Romanians than ti Serbs.

The Sandzak average is way more southern than the average Serb, 24 NA and 24 Baltic thats Romanian/Montenegrin like. Even southern Serbs are noticeably more northern.

OK but Montenegrins are genetically closer to each other regardless of their political identity and identities switch every census. This is super irrelevant and just semantics, just pointing out Sandzakians are to the south of the Serb average not to debate Montenegrin identity which I don’t care for.

To the OP I see them more as islamised Croats with some Serb admixture than vice versa. Pre Ottoman dialects of Bosnia overlap more with Croats and genetically they’re closer to Southern Croats. Don’t really understand why everyone wants to claim Bosniaks though, they have their own culture now.
