Yeah, thanks , I'm about 5'11 maybe almost 6 foot myself. So ,anyway, according to you auburn hair is more common in Ireland than Scotland ? Not saying you are wrong but it would be awesome if you did a version of this for Ireland too. Also, not sure if by 'med types' you meant purely med e.g. atlanto-med and altanto-med+dinaric etc... or also atlantid types so it was a bit confusing mate.

I'd say my skin is yellowish and I am darker in a Welsh/Cornish/Devonshire kind of way compared to the average Brit.
Hi thanks mate, i think auburn hair is common in both countries, i mean proper red hair seems commoner amongst the Irish, for example in this picture i would say the boy on the left looks more typically Irish as does the curly haired girl on the bottom, the middle girl has a more Scottish hair tone though this is anecdotal but i did notice it on trips to Scotland. By Med i include Atlantids too, atlanto meds are not common at all and maybe only 1-2% of fully English, North Atlantids are very common in Scotland but i wont include them in the Med group.

Native Scots have nearly as many fair-haired people as the English IMO, only more redheads and less blonds. They also have more dark brunets, particularly in the more Gaelic areas. The English are more often medium/light brunet. As you said they are noticeably more pale/ruddier (sometimes puce-faced, as Alex Ferguson used to be called) and more broad-faced, though not so much compared to Northern England. They are about 3-5% more light-eyed than the English it seems.

Would add that darker blonde/golden hair is more common in the English, paler blonde hair may be even more common in Scotland where it seems to take a ginger tint, strawberry blonde you could say. You think northern England is paler/ruddier? that is debateable though i find the North fairly variable with both Scottish and Germanic influenced English looking people but with less French or Med darker types.

I meant the differences in paleness and broadness are less noticeable between Scotland and the North. Still think Scots and Northern English are relatively distinguishable though.

I think Scots tend to be more uniform and comparable with areas of North England say than they are with South East Eng, ie fewer meddish influenced types.

Darker Scots are more paleo and I'd argue distinct from most English types, many Brünns in Scotland plus Keltic Nordids and people with platinum blond hair like Colin Hendre aren't uncommon. Then again you don't get many Freddie Flintoff types.

Still 70% of Scots/English would be indistinguishable, if not more

OK, I'll correct myself that the data for Wales was self-reported vs measured for England and Scotland. Also possible that ethnic minorities skew the statistics for England.

Just a personal observation really, it would be pretty minimal anyway

Younger and more affluent Welsh people are probably not much if at all different in height on average compared to their English and Scottish counterparts. Where I do notice a difference, however, is among the elderly and the poor, who by Northern Euro standards in particular can be incredibly short.
