The Chinese are slowly moving to the Caribbean too and the Chinese have been eyeing Venezuela for a (future nuclear) missile-launching hub against the United States.

That would be super worrying if not for a few conditions --

1) We already have them essentially surrounded... Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Philippines, Thailand, Pakistan, Afghan, even Mongolia.

2) Anything they try to put in South America will be wide open and vulnerable to conventional/unconventional attack and sabotage

3) Nuclear war will never really happen
