I never insinuated that the right of conquest was apart of international law, but is a colloquial neologism denoting that Russia annexed Crimea irrespective of what is officially recognized as international law. Again, you jump the gun and reached your own conclusion without understanding the general context.

Until Britain, Crimeans and Ukrainians can overthrow Russia through collective security measures to have them withdraw from Crimea; maybe we can talk then. As I reverberated previously, Russia has a military presence in Crimea through the right of conquest. Until both sides can come to a proper agreement and referendum (disregarding the illegitimacy of the 2014 one).

Hence, the "right of ownership" is currently in Russian presence irrespective of international law.
