I can understand both opponents and supporters of euthanasia.
But if it will ever work in Russia, it won't be very soon.
Here, if a person decides to do euthanasia, first representatives of banks and collectors agencies will visit him, and then representatives of public utilities, in order to search for debt. Then the person will be surrounded by relatives with a war for the redistribution of inheritance.
If a person does not solve all his problems in advance, then no one will allow him to die easily here.

Euthanasia is the adaptation of society to the conditions of urbanization under the conditions of cannibalistic capitalism. If earlier the clan was numerous and everyone lived in the same village, then there were always those who could look after a dying person.
With the modern aggressive urbanization and atomization of society, working relatives do not always have the opportunity to care for a dying relative. Not everyone has money for a hospice, plus the often dying person himself does not want to be a burden.
Another analogy is that the state sees an increasing level of stress among the population, but it cannot and does not want to do anything with the current socio-economic system, which is beneficial exclusively for a wealthy minority. So instead of solving fundamental problems, they do all sorts of nonsense, such as legalizing drugs in the hope of curing depression etc.
