Aha.
But he is not even from the Med sea
Neither is Damiao nor Renaissance (he's from the Alps)
Even CV lives deeply in Spain far from the Sea.

I think he uses this term because people in France often say "you think you are at the Club Med?" when someone is showing laziness at work or elsewhere. Not because of the med part, but due to the fact it's a famous vacation/travel agency here advertising people doing nothing (and a tacky one).

A relative went on a club med vacation in the 90s. Their ads used to be on TV all the time.

Baljenac Stone Fingerprint: 23km of Walls on a 0.14km2 Dalmatian Island
Croatia is famous for its stunning Adriatic coast, but equally stunning is some of the man-made creations to be found there, none more so than the spectacular tiny islnad of Baljenac, just 0.14km2 in size, but with a staggering 23.357 kilometres of perfectly constructed dry stone walls. The original Dalmatian stone fingerprint.
Did you know that north of Šibenik’s Kaprije island lies as small island Baljenac with a surface of 0.14 square kilometres? Hands of Kaprije villagers built on it 23 kilometres and 357 metres of dry walls in order to plant, in cleared spaces the size of living rooms, vineyards, figs or other fruits. For every 10.000 square metres around two thousand metres of dry walls were built.
Every Dalmatian Island consists of kilometers of these walls built by people's bare hands, to keep little of arable land there is from being washed away by seas.
People (women included) dig up rocks in far away locations, transported them by boats to the islands, than built stone walls stone by stone, in every weather conditions that existed.
Can you imagine how extremely back breaking work it was back in history before modern machinery?
Every Dalmatian Island, including my own, has kilometers of such walls.
So despite I'm Slavic I'm offended at retarded stereotypes about Meds because it's my heritage.

Hungary is also med country (not joke), the winter is such mild that the palm trees can survive it near the Lake Balaton. The summer is very hot like it the tropics (average 34-35 celsius), the Hortobány in the Alföld is basically a half desert, when i have been there i saw only sand and grass. I have no idea why Hungary is still belong to temperate climate zone.

The Club Med is a French touristic agency which organizes hollyday in Med countries. But the expression "Club Med" countries have been used and popularized by Angela Merkel, who pointed out how lazy these countries are: https://www.wsj.com/articles/BL-SOURCEB-21049
These Cub Med Countries, Spain, Italy, Greece and Portugal, are indeed, not at all among the most productives of Europe, most serious economist knew it was an error to integrate them in the Eurozone because they are too much lazy and unproductive to integrate properly. https://worldpopulationreview.com/co...tive-countries
The idea is that these Club Med countries are good to retire and take vacations there because it's hot and cheap with good beaches and good food. But they are quite irrelevant in other areas. Especially since the local population behave like it was the Club Med there. Working less, less productively and more sluggishly than in more northern countries.
The problem is that if 2000 years ago the IP, Italy and Greece were the richest part of Europe, it's not the case at all today. The fact that the Celtic, Germanic, Norsemen and Finns "barbarians" surpassed them in achievement and/or development during modern and contemporary times, or the fact that the same Germanic Barbarian invaded them and submitted them is an humiliation and a forfeiture that they cant handle with.
Just because you are born in the South don't mean you are racially Med. Holy Roman Emperor Frederick II was not Med just because he was born in Italy. The Omeyad Emir who were redhead with blue eyes were not Med just because they were born in the IP. The Emperor of Brazil Pedro II was not Med just because he was of Portuguese origin etc.
Budapest, at least, seems temperate to me. The summers are relatively hot, but less hot than in the South East of France and the winters are real winters, with temperature sometimes going several degrees under zero.
