As you said Santa Catarina was basically the coast, the nowdays litoranean areas of azorean heritage. The North started to receive many northeasterns in XX century and some southern/paulistanos immigrants after 1970, especially Rondônia and Acre. The Central started receive many northeasterns, southerns and paulistas and after 1970 to the agro expansion.
