And one of the worst things is, when insted of reading encyclopedist article, you read (f.e. in historical part) copy-paste books in mass media/gazette/popular-science style with some opinions, alusions, invectives, even jokes, showing clearly, that guy who wrote (copy-pasted) it is an idiot, who does not differenciate between a pure encyclopedist information and non-fiction free style popular science books for masses.

Wikipedia is terrible except for basic information that no one argues over (basic scientific facts, for example). If it's historical or political articles, then it's a mess but not so much the larger topics than the smaller ones that don't get much attention and so people get away with spouting nonsense.

I'll check footnotes and sometimes what is said on the wiki page doesn't match what is written in the source.

The german Wikipedia is the most policital correct, self hating of all Wikis... I can´t fully remember, but there was an article which proofed (more or less) that race excists and they just deleted it without an explanation.
Many of the information is useful but you should keep in mind that WP is not neutral.
