Depends who you're dealing with and their mental state. That being said as a Greek I faced one or two issues in Turkey (ages ago) that made me avoid any trip there again. Let's say it was some sort of administrative issue that breached my privacy. But Croatia is still a western country so I wouldn't worry too much.
